Learn quickly and practically what ABNT NBR 15965, Brazil's Construction Information Classification System standard, is for. Explore the tables and codes used to classify information on elements, products, spaces, tools, disciplines, services and other objects in BIM models. Learn to insert and edit 15965 classification in IFC, Revit, Archicad and other models, and understand how NBR 15965 codes and terms relate to important systems such as SINAPI, SICRO and OmniClass. The exercises were developed to help students understand how to classify BIM model information using ABNT NBR 15965, Brazil's Construction Information Classification System. The activities aim to show how to relate IFC classification to ABNT classes and work with SINAPI and Omniclass codes, among others!

Instructor:

Architect Dr. João Gaspar, coordinator of ABNT CEE-134, the commission responsible for Brazil's BIM standards, researcher, author and editor of books on BIM and digital technologies for design and construction. Learn more about the instructor's background at the bottom of the page.
